LOVE IT HILL

Brilliance in all sides, they've done another that's hard to ignore. Apparently, coldplay have done what most bands would do once they've reach their third or fourth album, which is experimentation with new sounds. The change in violet hill is significant enough to know there's a scent of maturity and a new-found edge into their music. Violet hill took off from where they left off in the last album, started with synthesizers which then moves on to more coldplayesque thumping of the piano, giving it the typical coldplay sound. The song kicks in when the guitars are introduced. All -round distorted sound of bucklands 6-stringed instrument signalled a change into more psychedelic and rocker coldplay. Giving the song the edge it needs. The song ends with Chris Martin and the piano, typical coldplay of old. As a fan, I'll say the song's a grower, first listen could only do so much, listen to it again and you will love it to bits. Still, it's an amazing song. Well crafted lyrics(below) made it even better.

Was a long and dark December
From the rooftops I remember
There was snow
White snow

Clearly I remember
From the windows they were watching
While we froze down below

When the future's architectured
By a carnival of idiots on show
You'd better lie low

If you love me
Won't you let me know?

Was a long and dark December
When the banks became cathedrals
And the fog
Became God

Priests clutched onto bibles
Hollowed out to fit their rifles
And the cross was held aloft

Bury me in honor
When I’m dead and hit the ground
My Love is opposed when unfold

If you love me
Won't you let me know?

I don't want to be a soldier
With the captain of some sinking ship
With snow, far below

If you love me
Why'd you let me go?

I took my love down to
Violet Hill
There we sat in snow
All that time she was silent still

So if you love me
Won't you let me know?

If you love me,
Won't you let me know?
