Pass me down the wine

Another post from the band that they are, Le'Vasiz. Lately, le'vasiz has been surprisingly quiet in the music scene as they haven't played anything live since....since ......SAB IU day or maybe it was someone's black parade or probably it was the charity event. Argh...I forgot. The reports on le'vasiz has been totally clean too, there 's no drinking problems, burst ups , drug problems or even twats with photographers. So basically , Le' Vasiz has a clean image.

Forget about the written stuff above. This post was actually made to inform you guys/people/fans/friends/enemies/rivals/girls/alcoholics , that Le'Vasiz has entered themselves in the year's biggest festival.....Glastonbury festival. Oh my gauze !!

Whoaa.......

You just got punk'd ! hahahaha
I had my mate ashton 'ketchup' giving me this idea.

Right, I should stop with the shite and go straight to the point. Le' vasiz are joining the ASIAN BEAT band competition brought to you by Yamaha. First, let me explain to you what this competition is all about. Like what it says in the advertisement , the best music in Asia starts here....In this competition , you are able to compete with the best in Asia from countries like China, Hong Kong, Philippines, Indonesia and talentless Singapore(Sorry mates but honestly I can hear croaks singing everywhere I go in Singapore). Well Le'Vasiz will get the chance to go toe to toe with bands around Asia if only they win the National Final in Kuala Lumpur, and before that they must first win the regional final in Landmark,Johor bahru.
So right after Le'Vasiz are done with our torturing exams, they'll hit the jamming room and see what sort of melodious, loveable , non-shite, listenable tune they can cook up with. I'm sure will get our music heads together and work something out. Now I should tell you about the info on the competition in Johor Bahru so that you can come and support us:
Venue : Landmark IT Mall
Heats : 11 November 2006
Regional Final : 12 November 2006
Time : 2 pm (???? not very sure 'bout this )
By the way, the admission is free.

Well Le' Vasiz would appreciate it if all their fans or friends could come and watch them . So, anyone who is reading this please free yourself and watch the best bands in Johor Bahru Rock their socks off. You have to be mad fer it .

When the stars don't fade away, Le'Vasiz will shine for you..

One way road

stop=tops=post=opts=spot=pots

Look at the picture above. What can you see ? What can you decipher from the picture ? By now, you'd probably be thinking that Le'Vasiz had made a big blooper or mistake while putting the picture in this blog and we suffered from a rush of blood to the head. Haha...that's what i thought but NO! The pic was purposely made that way. The picture carries a meaning that only a selected few could understand.
To help you in understanding the pic, read the quote/lyrics below :
"...I start before I can stop, before I see things the right way up,something's you have to believe but others are puzzles puzzling me..."

So, basically, If you could see it then you'd understand.

The picture and the deciphering above only leads us to one point that is , Le' Vasiz are a band of musicians who are full of codes and puzzles. Many of you would realise this if you had been visiting this blog frequently. There are many mysteries under the sleeves of Le'Vasiz. For example, do you guys remember the 'Glujen' word . How many of you knew what glujen meant ? I doubt u had any idea of what it is. I'm sure you couldn't even guess the place where we took the picture . Let me bring you to another topic, How about PAIN ? Have you guys guess what is PAIN? It's rather confusing isn't it ?....aha,you people would also be asking questions about amoretisation. For example, shouldn't amoretisation be spelt 'amortisation' ? and what's the meaning of amoretisation? Too bad we're not gonna tell you . Well, the biggest puzzle of all would be Le' Vasiz itself. Since the introduction of Le'Vasiz to the music scene, people have been questioning about the meaning of the name "le'vasiz" and how did we get that name. Till today, the puzzle is still left unsolved.Even The Scientist couldn't figure it out. So, you guys should just keep on guessing until we reveal out the answers to you on one fine day.
Well somethings are better left untold. Maybe, you may have heard the truth but please DONT BELIEVE THE TRUTH.

All we can say is Le' Vasiz is a name that's a real mystery and only the band members of Le'Vasiz could have thought of such a weird name.

Note: The name, Le'Vasiz, has nothing to do with scrabble. So, don't waste your brains trying to anagram the word levasiz. The name , Le'Vasiz, is also a non-existent word in any dictionary you have. Don't waste your time checking the word in your Oxford, Chambers, Collins or Dewan Bahasa.

A really dry week!

For the past week or two, Le' Vasiz has been suffering from a really bad spell. A spell that they had to face trouble and humbleness. Their world turned upside down. Before you go on , you should be enlighten that 4/5 of the members of Le' Vasiz members are living their lives in perling. For the past week or so , there has been a cut of water(H20) and also electricity in the 'famous' Taman perling(pingler) . Both cuts of H20 and electricity happened at different periods . For around 48 hours last week , there was not a single drop of water supplied to the homes of the Le' Vasiz. This means that there was no H20 which has a molar mass of 18,no 2 hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen atom, and no solvent of life....Gauze....Water is such an important factor to us because 70% of our body content is liquid and water is also used in making our favourite drink, coffee. As there was no water, we were dry and got dehydrated. Note : facts about water are taken from 'The Scientist'

To add insult to "dehydration", Le'Vasiz had to suffer from electricty cuts which lasted for 1440 minutes or should I make it less complicated,86400 seconds of no electic current. This means no air-conds(we couldn't playcold), no fans(meaning kipas and not you guys reading this post) and worst of all no lights. Lights are such an important factor to this band because according to the coolest band in the world, '.....lights will guide you home and ignite your bones....'(Fix You) . So, all the lights that light our way were blinding, we needed a wonderwall badly . Without the air-cooling apliances, Le' Vasiz were left to be feeling Hot...Hot...Hot!! or should I just say heaty. Well, we couldn't actually add heat into what is already hot, could we ?....

The effects from these unfortunate events were massive, members of Le'Vasiz were getting sick/ill/high/sleepy and also passing their exams in non-flying colours. We were mad fer it and we needed someone to free us from pain. There's also a suspicion that these unfortunate events happened because of the curse of Friday the 13th or maybe it's just that PERLING had one of their shite weeks. On that day ,they probably woke up on the wrong side of the bed just because god failed to put a smile upon their faces. So sad. All we know is that we don't know. Well, not to worry as Le'Vasiz will continue to do what they do and not slide away from what they call music.

Lights go out and we can't be saved....

In My Place....

As you all know, the jamming place for Le'Vasiz has always been in joel's house, his bedroom. Joel's room is probably complete with almost everything you need for a jamming session. There's a drum set, two electric guitars, one semi-acoustic guitar, one bass, a keyboard, a mic, one expensive effects and multiple amps. Heck...there's even a tambourine and a violin in his room. This room is so memmorable 'cause It is where Le'Vasiz played together for the first time....But the last time Le'vasiz did some jamming, It was at someone's house(Jogin). During that spell, Joel's room was under some renovation . After adding some sugar & spice and everything nice ,BAMM!!......a new room is formed . The room is new but it still needs a lot of cleaning up to do............Look below

Oh my gauze...Joel,what did u do to your room ? Arrghh....

Well a room full of roses and musical instruments isn't so bad after all.......

I Live my life in the city
There's no easy way out
The day's moving just too fast for me
Need some time in the sunshine
Gotta slow it right down
The day's moving just too fast for me

I live my life for the stars that shine
People say it's just a waste of time
Then they said I should feed my head
That to me was just a day in bed
I'll take my car and drive real far
Not concerned about the way we are
Cos in my mind my dreams are real
Now you're concerned about the way I feel

Tonight I'm a rock n roll star........

Where were you while we were getting high....

We got no money, we got no car, we got no job.....but we have a band.

Here, we were just guessing on numbers and figures. We were pulling the puzzles apart. We got lost and then got found. We made a hole in our soul. We move forwards, then backwords, and then forwards again....

Try and guess where we had this shot...

A beautiful world ? think again...

Music, all of us have made, all of us have done for.
Rhymes, all of us have played, all of us have live for.
Pain is long and never ceasing
Pain is old,still standing,still winning
So go ahead and Let them all keep their skins
Cos all we want is in our bones
And we cant look down
Maybe we could have it all but now we just want it back that's all
And We cant get out
cause they're on top of the world
sure in time we'll be heard, they said,
come on, everybody knows we're meant for better or worse
and say what you mean, or you won't mean a thing to us
everybody falls sometimes but it's not the end of the world
sure in time we'll be heard and you'll be heard,
As we try to decipher the codes of x&y,
We saw trouble and things we don't understand
We took a ladder to the sun but gravity pushed us down
And it's how you see the world, not how the world sees you
We want to live forever but the world just turned upside down
And brought us......AMORETISATION
So....Just Free Us From PAIN!

Back

Gauze....It has been such a long long time since Le' Vasiz updated their blog. We've been busy with a lot of stuff lately. Well, we are still students and nobody said it was easy being a student/Musician/blogger at the same time.
This is another song that we wrote and it's titled 'Bring It back'.This is probably one of our last written songs before we take a long brake from music to focus on our final exams coming in october.

Bring It Back

Look at things that come around
Then, you could see what passed you by
Soon, you'll be asking me why
I'll tell you things that you cant deny
Look at the skies, you'll see that stars
will fade away
Look up right when the wheels of your life
start falling apart

Get what you get
Don't let things pull you down again
Oh...Take me back
Back to the days where the sun shines..
Oh..oo...(3x)

Have you ever felt let down
And you could crumble to the ground
All the movements they're starting to make
makes you wanna loose your head
Go with the pain 'cause somehow
you might gain someday
And you and I will see things
yet unseen with our eyes

Get what you get
Don't let things pull you down again
Oh...Take me back
Back to the days where the sun shines..
Oh..0oo..ooo.(6x)

Oh bring it back, bring me back now,
bring it back(2x)...to me

I sink like a stone, I lost it all
I sink like a stone, I lost it all
I sink like a stone, I lost it all

LOST

Have you ever felt LOST ?
I'm sure everyone reading this had their moments...of being lost.
Note:this post has nothing to do with the tv series 'lost'.

The dry spell ends here...........finally
Le'Vasiz once again pulled their hearts together and manage to write another song.
This is another unproduce song that might be in our upcoming debut album in the first quarter of next year.

LOST

Everything that i've done for you,
hope that it's not lost,
To say i'm sorry, hope that's enough for you
thought of all the things i've done

Where you've been, I've been missing you,
well, i got lost in the angry sea,
and I'm always standing next to you,
I think you know that's true,
yeah i've been writing names in the sky
Something that's never been done

I should have known,
You showed me the signs,
I was too blind to see,
You should have known,
You thought i was fine,
Something that i'll never be.

How could you know it if you don't even try
Maybe you should open up your eyes
As days are dying and clocks come ticking by,
After all..I'm just lost without you.

You know i can never go on without you,
somehow you showed me how,
We have to talk, you need to understand
that you and I will come and go..

I should have known
You showed me the signs
I was to blind to see
You should have known
You thought I was fine
Something that I'll never be

How could you know it if you don't even try,
Maybe you should open up your eyes
As days are dying and clocks come ticking by
After all I'm just lost without you
I'm just.....
LOSt

Everything that I've done for you
Hope that it's not lost....

you run dry

why aren't we able to write songs.

last time we've written a song: last month
next time we're finishing a song: long time more

indeed, there have been much to do of late, both in the band and out of it, so bear with us for at least another month.

perhaps there just isn't enough emotion. perhaps due to the lack of pain.
pain-emotion=sadness-ideas-inspiration=song-niceness=many songs-album

(-leads to)(=equals to)

conclusion, NO PAIN, NO ALBUM

ps:see the picture, we've been forced to use someone's bedroom to practice. any recording company by any chance reading this?

You Felt Nothing At All

SOMETIMES THINGS JUST GO YOUR WAY
MOST OF THE TIME THEY DON’T
FOR ME, THEY NEVER

Here’s one of my un-produced songs, I know it’s sappy, it was meant to be sappy
You Felt Nothing at All

Everybody, got to know you
But I was left out, In the dark
Every time I tried to talk to you,
I was blown away with the crowd

Why did it take, so long for me to realize
That we weren’t meant to be

Chorus

Cause I tried my best,
And  I gave my all
But you didn’t see, I did it all for you
But at least I tried, and I found out it ain’t right
Now I know, you felt nothing at all

Everyone I, asked about you
Seemed to think you were afraid
Everything I ever tried to do
Never seemed to be for real

one of those killer boring songs you'd expect to hear from your best friend who's crying over a guy (or girl)and though the song admits her (or his) acceptance to defeat, she (or he) doesn't really mean it.

SORRY....
i just want to make a very public apology to ms.ANNE Yap, whose friendship and trust i have betrayed, and whose words i have misinterpreted. so so so sorry..
this postscipt is not in anyway related to the song above.

Free Us From Pain

Our PRIDE, JOY and for most of us, LOVED one.

Pain

pain is there, we see them
pain is on a hill, in a building so white so real
pain is hard, they're made of coal
pain is hot sometimes cold
pain is itch
pain is bitch
pain is long and never ceasing
pain is old still standing and still winning
pain is unreachable
pain comes to you
pain steals your heart
pain starts from square one
pain ends at square root 25

pain needs love
pain wants attention
pain breaks friendships
pain eats souls
pain brought me joy
pain brought me sorrow
pain gave me hope
pain ate my bones
but most of all
pain is mine, don't ask me why

there are lots of people around the world in need of a better future. help our cause.

FREE US FROM PAIN

OUR PHOTOSHOOT

Gauze. was suppose to do this eons ago but it turns out our exams just want to make us aeons older. just think of it like this, we study moral (like as if we need to) but it all just doesn't go anywhere, or means anything.

ok. Mr Joel was suppose to post this post, but since he is not a postman, he can't post.
so Mr Leroy is taking over the job for the time being while MR JOEL is getting our multi hundred dollar state-of-the-art soundproof, wired and concertoured Recording Studio done up.
so, while we wait for him to get back his line back online, you'll just have to read my crap for now.

as the title suggests, yes we had our very first PHOTOSHOOT last week. and man, was it a blast. i mean a shot. For some reason or another, this was the first taste of our metroamourity, gelling hair, waxing hair and also cutting hair just for some five minutes of pain.it was for us however, a moment to reflect on the direction we were planning to go.
Wardrobe. Black? blue? yellow? pink? if we were going to make one important decision, it had to be now. choosing what colour we were going to wear for the shoot was as important as Coldplay choosing the adjective yellow for their song. (look at the stars, look how they shine for you, and all the things you do, and it was all blue)
see, it could have gone either way. imagine if black ran out of fashion. (??) or pink suddenly became girl's favourite colour again! this decision we were about to make was like deciding how we should name our new born child (i know somone who's name is TAN CHI KORK, and someone named tualanpa singh) imagine if we chose the wrong colour...
what if we went the wrong way and ended up claiming MTV's worst coloured band of all time, or being named Forbes richest ugly people.
it was THAT important.
So, after much deliberation, deliberately wasting time whilst at it, we finally decided on the COLOUR.........

here's the deal. Come back tomorrow, and you'll find out what colour we wore. :P

i learnt this tactic from singapore idol. but of course, they copied us.

Le' Vasiz : The start of a new era

How should I start this chapter ?...........One day........Once upon a time............AH! Who cares !!!
I'll do it my style...........

What should I be writing about first?..........ah ya the origin of Le'Vasiz.
Le'Vasiz was created in early March 2005. It all happened when 5 musically-inclined friends started talking about making a band .We had this discussion while waiting for the van/bus to arrive...........The 5 guys mention were Leroy, Joel, Shahrul, Thomas and me, Marvin. It was ideal for us to think of such things like making a band because all of us have been friends since primary school, most of us are staying around Perling, all of us sat the same van and all of us love music . In the end, we came to an agreement to make a band and decided to register ourselves for the 2005 FOA(Festival of Arts) auditions.

Luckily for Le' Vasiz, they had a drummer who could supply every single musical instrument you need to orchestrate a band practice or a jamming session. He even supplied us a jamming room which was actually his music room. Till today, it's still Le' Vasiz official jamming room/practice room thanks to our drummer, Joel.

In our debut performance, in middle March 2005, we actually screwed our performance and gave a really mediocre-like performance. The first song we ever performed was Simple Plan's 'Welcome to my life' but it really sounded like 'welcome to my death'. One of our main reasons for our shit performance was most probably our vocals. Our lead vocalist, Leroy had to be absent from the auditions because of scrabble reasons. So, Thomas had to sing and play bass at the same time, Joel on drums, and me and Shahrul with the guitars. In the end of the day we still got through the auditions and the other bands were not that impressive either . After that experience, all of us knew it was time to step up our game and play some real quality music.

After a long break , Le'Vasiz got back together again. We had a meeting right after the break and the talk was about FOA(Festival of Arts) battle of the bands. The band got together and tried to pick a song to play for FOA. We had our options, we tried playing songs from simple plan, greenday, yellowcard, the wonders and many other bands battling out today in MTV . Too bad or should I say luckily, all of the songs we tried din't turn out well. Those songs didn't clicked with the band and it felt like total rip offs.It wasn't us at all and it wasn't making trade fair. If we had played their songs today, we wouldn't be as good as we are today. We would have sounded like $#!t...... and we wouldn't have stayed together as Le' Vasiz.

In the end of the day, It was all about making a decision and not regretting it later. It wasn't easy and it wasn't a decision that had to be made by a group of scientists. As we were in the room(jamming) looking at the clocks ticking past by us slowly, the flow of melodious music and the thought of playing our own song started playing through our skin and bones. We finally decided to play the song that Leroy had written in late 2004, "Standing Next To You". We put in a lot of effort in making this song a real succes or should I say good enough for FOA.

Then It came FOA (Festival of Arts) that was held in the spastik hall, we were given the chance to perform 4th out of 11 bands in the battle of the bands competition. We took our chance and we nailed it with our own song "Standind Next To You". We gave a satisfying performance that saw the crowd waving their hands in the air and enjoying what they see and hear on the stage. After seeing 11 bands battling it out, it was time for the outcome of our band's performance. We got an excellent satisfying finishing of 2nd runners-up in the battle of the bands(botb) competition, we were overjoyed as it was our debut botb competition and we, Le' Vasiz only lost to two experienced bands . The experience ignited up
the whole band. It made us dream of making it bigger in the near future.

The end of 2005

Standing Next To You

For the benefit of some, here's the lyrics to our first production.. Standing Next To You.
just a brief history about it, written somewhere in December 2004 thanks to fate and a little more fate. Though the better half of fate didn't really materrialise, we're sure glad the song turned out ok..

first officially performed at the Festival of Arts 2005, it stuck with us for a number of sublime gigs, and we certainly would like to keep it playing all the way to the release of Amoretisation.
we'll just wait and see.. -Le' Vasiz..

Standing Next To You

Last Christmas,
I never thought that I would ever find someone like you
And I still can’t deny the feeling, when I look at you
But I know that feeling is for real, and I hope that you have felt it too
And I never wanna say goodbye at all,
I wanna tell you that

I will give, you all of my heart and my soul
And I wish that you will find me there in you
Cause I had to try, baby open up your heart and let me be the one
Standing Next To You

The first time I met you I just knew that it would be right
Cause I’ve seen you in my dreams and I still see you in my mind
But I never wanna see you with somebody else but me
And I tell you this and I swear it true

I will give,
you all of my heart and my soul
And I wish that you will find me there in you
Cause I had to try, baby open up your heart and let me be the one
Standing Next To You

Maybe its time to say goodbye
Maybe its time we tried
Maybe its time I tell you why
I’ve got you on my mind

I will give,
you all of my heart and my soul
And I wish that you will find me there in you
Cause I had to try, baby open up your heart and let me be the one
Standing Next To You

Let me be the one (standing next to you)
Let me be the one (standing next to you)
Let me be the one..
Standing next to you…

I'll never be good enough for you lyrics

I'll never be good enough for you lyrics

Take away these tears i cry inside
I've been a fool and it's you i can deny
Take away these tears that's haunting me
everywhere i go
Whem i'm with you, feels like there's no tomorrow

What if i decide to fly and run away from the pain,
Even if i tried to try, it's still be the same for you

I want you for myself
But i guess its over now
I've got myself to blame
It's a never ending pain
and I want you to know
Under all of the sorrows
I'll never be good enough
for you

I tried to change the way I live, I even tried to follow
I tried to be your man , I tried to be your hero
But i don't know (what you did to me)
And I don't know (what to do)
I don't know(I'm so lost without you)

I'll never be a perfect person o that's so true
I'll never be the one who's standing next to you
I don't wanna face the pain no more,
I don' wanna have to fight it
Idon't wanna be the one who's lost

Iwant you for myself
but i guess it's over now
I've got myself to blame
It's a never ending pain
And i want you to know
Under all of the sorrows
I'll never be good enough
for you
(twice)

I'll never be good enough for you.....
I gotta face the truth,
I'll never be with you.
